FingerMotion (NASDAQ: FNGR) announced that it has initiated discussions with prospective offtake clients for capacity at Brooks Campus #1, a 9.9-megawatt behind-the-meter power and compute site in Alberta, Canada. Through its relationship with BlueFlare Energy Solutions Inc., the company is offering two potential commercial structures: powered land, under which clients provide their own modular data halls, and colocation, under which BlueFlare develops data-hall capacity with power, cooling and supporting infrastructure. Under both arrangements, clients would supply and own their computing equipment. Powered land capacity is expected to become available in early 2027, although no definitive offtake agreements have been announced.
Brooks Campus #1 is the first site in FingerMotion’s planned 99-megawatt Alberta program, comprising 10 sites across the Brooks, Coronation, Fox Creek and Vulcan areas. The company continues to advance permitting and solicit expressions of interest, with a strategy of securing long-term capacity contracts before committing construction capital to individual sites. The campus is designed to operate adjacent to existing natural gas infrastructure, potentially avoiding the need for a new grid interconnection.
